THE HOUR OF DECISION - Rev. Warren Simon

Image
DATE: Sunday 28th December 2025                                           SERMON TAKEN FROM: Joshua 24:1-17 vs 15 - And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua was very old and nearing death when he gathered the elders and all of Israel for his final address, by asking them to reflect on all that God has done for them.  The same as we are about to crossover in 2026, we ought to reflect on the history that God has done for us.  A reminder was given to them in Joshua 24:  vs 2+3 : God reminded the Israelites that He first chose their Ancestor, Abraham from across the Euphrates river where his family worshipped othe...

CHRISTMAS 2025 SERMON - Rev. Warren Simon

Image
DATE: Thursday 25th December 2025                              Christmas Sermon - Rev. Warren Simon Taken from - Matthew 2:1-13 ...... vs 11 - And when they came in the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, frankincense and myrrh. These wise men came from the far east as mentioned in the scriptures, it could of been places such as Japan, China etc.  The attitude of these men who have seen the star came and worship Jesus. We have to ask ourselves what our intentions are when we attend church, are we there for gossip or are there to worship Him.  No way in history did we read where people were born a King, Josiah was eight (8) years old when he was made King, however Jesus was born a King - Matthew 2:2 - Saying where is he that IS BORN KING OF THE JEWS? we have seen his...

DEVOTION - Isaiah 43:2

Image
Recorded on: Sunday 30th November 2025 A WORD OF ENCOURAGMENT  When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee and through the rivers they shall not overflow thee. When thou walkest through the fire, thou shall not be burned neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. - Isaiah 43:2 The Lord has promised never to leave us nor forsake us, no matter what life throws at us. We have an assurance that the promises of God's protection and his help is available for all who trust in his name.  The children of Isreal walked through the red sea on dry land, yet the same waters submerged the enemies of the Lord.  The flames that were heated seven times hotter, did not singe a single thread on the garments of the three Hebrew boys, yet it consumed those who threw them into the flames. This scripture does not promise a life free of hardship, but rather the certainty of God's companionship and sustaining power within the hardship ensuring ultimate survival and spiritual ...

SERMON TAKEN FROM: EXODUS 33:12-18

Image
Mt. Zion Church Prayer and Fasting                     Thursday 6th November 2025 SERMON TAKEN FROM: EXODUS 33:12- 18   (12)   And Moses said unto the  Lord , See, thou sayest unto me, bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.......... (14)     And he said, my presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. (15)   And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence........... (18)   And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. Although Moses respected God's angels, he did not want their presence to go with them, he wanted God to go with them.  In verse 18- Moses ask God to " shew me thy glory," - it means let me see your presence, splendor and power. In Revelation 1:17 , this verse described John's reaction to seein...

GET UP, CAST OFF AND PUT ON - Taken From Romans Chapter 13:11-14

BE ALERT FOR THE TIME IS DRAWING NEAR! SERMON TAKEN FROM : Romans 13:11-14 KJV - And that, knowing the time, that now is the high time to awake out of sleep: for now, is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12) The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light. 13) Let us walk honestly, as in the day, not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.   Mt. Zion Independent Baptist Missionary Union Church           Date: Sunday 2nd November 2025 In the book of Isaiah 38:1-2 -  In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, thus saith the  Lord , set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.  Then Hezekiah turned his ...

Psalm 119 Word of Encouragement

Image
Mt. Zion IBMU Church Prayer and Fasting                                        Thursday 30th October 2025   SCRIPTURE TAKEN FROM: Psalm 119:67 and 71 NKJV (67) Before I was afflicted, I went astray, but now I keep your word. (71) It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statues.  In Psalm 119, it is a testament to the transformative power of suffering. It's meaning is that hardship can serve as a wakeup call, turning a person from their wandering ways to a life of obedience and renewed devotion to God's teachings.  In Luke 15:11-32 - The story of the prodigal son, back in the day, the Israelites use to deal with sheep's, not with pigs; and because the prodigal son spend wasted all what he had, it caused him to eat amongst the pigs. It was then that he came to his senses and went back to his father. Sometime bad situations...

2 Chronicles 20:1-4 King Jehoshaphat Trust God for Victory.

Image
SERMON: 2 Chronicles 20:1-4 - It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.   (2) Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, there cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and behold they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi. (3) And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. (4) And Judah gathered themselves together to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.  Mt. Zion Independent Baptist Missionary Union            Date: Sunday 26th October 2025 We are seeing what is taking place right now concerning the war. This is nothing new as this has happened before in the above scriptures. In Matthew 24:6 says - And ye shall hear of wars and rumor of wars..., the scriptu...
